The volunteers of the Werribee Fire Brigade have received a welcome boost to their plans to install some water saving equipment at the station site in Werribee with the donation of $2171.45.

The funds were donated from the staff and contractors of the Dennis Family Corporation and the project manager for the Manor Lakes estate in Wyndham Vale. A satellite station of the Werribee Fire Brigade is located at Manor Lakes.

The Werribee Fire Brigade has 152 members who are all volunteers and perform a range of duties such as fire fighters, support personnel, auxiliary and juniors. This year they will attend over 900 calls throughout the local municipality ranging from house fires, motor vehicle accidents, grass fires, hazmat incidents and general calls from the public for assistance.

"We are very grateful for the support from the Dennis Family Corporation to our local community.  The funds will go along way to finalising the water saving project which has been planned for sometime" said Noel Squires Captain of the Werribee Fire Brigade.
